Just don't do it yourself. Really please don't attempt it yourself unless you have Skoda / Volkswagen / Audi technical experience, expertise and facilities. (including installation tools, jigs and gauges) It's complicated and difficult without proper knowledge, experience and manufactures / main dealer back up you could easily do it wrong and quickly wreck your engine, with no redress. I am an experienced vehicle technician and would not attempt it without all the above support behind me.

SDI stands for standard diesal injection
If you want good fuel economy, the SDI is for you. If you want a lot of torque, your best bet is to go for the TDI. The SDI doesnt have a turbo but the TDI does.
