You cannot change the format from Office 2003 to Office 2007, the technology was not out then. But you can make a RTF document that will open in Office 2007. Click on File/Save as/click on the arrow to open the drop down list/ choose RTF
Open it with word 2007 and then save it from Save as command
in ms word 2003 click format then borders and shading.
Yes you can.Just make sure that after editing that you save it as a word 2003 document (*.doc). If you save it in word 2007 format (*.docx) you will need to download a free compatability pack which allows you to open 2007 files on earlier versions of word. You can get this from the following site:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=941B3470-3AE9-4AEE-8F43-C6BB74CD1466&displaylang=enFun fact....Office 2007 files (*.docx) are actually zip files. If you change the file extension to *.zip and then unzip it you will find the file in its word 2003 format (*.doc).
Save document as .doc (not .docx)
Yes. DOCM is a Word Microsoft Office Open XML Format document. It is opened by default by Word 2007 upwards. For earlier versions of Word (2003 and below), you'll have to download the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for free from Microsoft's website.
You can save your Microsoft works document in "saved as" to be a Microsoft word document. All you do is have to go to "File" the go to "Save As" then go to "Save as type" and then click the down arrow next to the "Save as type" and click "word 97-2003 Document (*.doc)" or click "word 2007 Document (*.docx). This should work. I would save it as the word 97-2003 Document (*doc). Hope this helps, Waveracer200

Microsoft WordThere not looking for that kind of answer!! Just do ctrl and o(open) at the same time. yes of course you can open it .. it might show up symbols in place of characters, but you can always get them updated and then you will get it opened properly..Suppliments: The reverse may be a bit troublesome. Just make sure if you open a MS 07 document on a 03, you must save the document as a 03-97 format to prevent data losses.Yes you can open..., MS Word always save its documents in form of "Microsoft word document (*.doc) ".. So a Microsoft word document can be opened in any version i.e., 97,2000,2003 and 2007. --> by (raviteja459@gmail.com)
