Go to your piercer when the swelling goes down and they'll change it if its ready.
Once you get your tongue pierced, and its not yet healed, it can easily be infected. After about 3-8 weeks, once it is healed you can eat or drink anything without a lot fo risk of infection. After about 18 months, it cannot be onfected uness it is opened up wider or stretched.
OK simply put a tongue piercing once done will have localized swelling for the first two weeks, once the swelling has eased the barbell may seem some what longer (good time to get the barbell stepped down to protect the teeth). Once the step down barbell is in the piercing will remain slightly swelled for the next 4 weeks. So over all, so long as you don't get a cold* (*this will prolong the healing time) you are looking at a time period of 6 weeks to attain a light heal. This is far from considered healed, professional piercers consider a piercing seasoned and fully healed when the piercing is a full year old.
No, that's normal. Once it's completely healed, it won't do that anymore.
Brushing the top of your tongue will not create any permanent change in the texture of your tongue. The tongue heals rapidly.
Sure Bioplast was designed for the body piercing industry and is fine once the piercing is healed. Some piercers will use it right from the start, but I am a bit old school so I like to get the piercing healed with a metal barbell ( the flexing can prevent the piercing from draining correctly and clients tends to chew on a flexible barbell which isn't a smart move ). Just keep in mind anything flexible will eventually fail from wear and tear, so keep your shorter metal barbell handy when you travel, just in case.
Jesus healed the people who asked him to heal them, and as long as they asked in faith , they were healed at once.
Change means things are no longer as they once where. Continuity implies things staying on as they were.
Once the swelling decreases after the insertion, it's much flatter.
Possibly, but not probably. But if your lucky to see statues of the gods and goddesses naked, lick them if your tongue has a disease. It happened to me once, and i did that. Everyone looked at me gross-like, but I healed right there on the spot and they did it too. Don't you think it is fascinating?
You can, once it's fully healed that way you don't risk irritating it or causing infection. If you find it's a bit difficult you can always go to your piercer.
Nothing. The initial barbell you get is long because it has to accommodate for swelling. Its the same kind of barbell, just longer than what youre gonna wear once the swelling is gone
Once they are fully healed and can stand by themselves in the correct position then posts are no longer needed. If they are still slightly floppy or not standing correctly then they still need posts. Most dogs require posts for several months after surgery.
