yep, you sure can! there are tons of things for your sims to do, the only thing you can't chose is your sims "natural talent"

when they find this "natural talent" a memo will pop up saying they had a lot of fun doing that activity. it just means that they will gain skills in that area quicker. other then that they are free to do whatever and however many hobbies they wish.
