Yes it does but only on contact. Spray bleach on a roach and they die just as quickly as if you were using bug spray. You can also pour bleach down your drain since roaches like to live near a water source.

∙ 13y agoNo and they're an absolute bugger to get rid of. treat all of your dogs/cats with frontline, that will kill any fleas that come into contact with the animal within 24 hours. Also get flea spray (from a pet shop or hardware store) spray it all over your house, especially in carpeted areas and on soft furnishings, and make sure you get it in all the nooks and crannys. Make sure you hoover every day for a couple of weeks this will make sure you get rid of any eggs etc that may be on the carpet. Also the spray is quite toxic so make sure it's well ventalated when you spray, and that the house is empty, its fine when it's dry and not dangerous to animals or children, it's just whilst you're spraying.

∙ 11y agoNo as bleach cannot be used on lots of furniture and carpets where the fleas will lay their eggs. I suggest you get a specialized flea spray and make sure you spray your pets or get a flea treatment for them and use it on a regular basis as directed by manufacturer.
