I am an old retired nurse.and we used it for clean up and sterilization in thesterilizing process,in and around surgucal teams,instruments etc.the hospital sterilizing proccess in general...anyone who is in forensic medicine should know this as some criminals could well use it to cover the tracks..I am from New Zealand, and that is where my training began as a nurse...i could not stand the stuff almost knocked me out sterilizing bed pans the first day on the wards...lol..blessings all..

Paint thinner is a product that is similar to mineral spirits. Turpentine is another similar product. All three work to remove paint and help clean up after painting.
How you can best clean up spilled polyurethane will depend on where it is spilled. If it is spilled on a laminate floor, rags dampened in mineral spirits will work well. If the spill is on concrete, paint thinner will clean it up.
Never use ammonia on hardwood floors. Use diluted vinegar or to remove wax buildup apply mineral spirits with a cloth.

Yes it is possible to use mineral spirits, but there are safer and more effective ways. After soaking the bearings in mineral spirits, then rinse them with 99% isopropyl alcohol and dry.
