You cataract surgeon will do a consultaion before your surgery. They will ask a lot of medical and health history questions. It is important to let doctors and surgeons know what diseases you have and all medications you take prior to surgery.
Laser eye surgery is performed on the cornea or outer surface of the eye. Cataracts develop on the lens which is inside of the eye, behind the colored part of the eye (the iris) and the pupil. If you have a cataract now, you will want to first get it removed before having laser vision surgery. If you don't have cataracts now and want to have LASIK, go right ahead. Know that having LASIK won't prevent you from developing cataracts in the future, though. The good news is that having LASIK won't prevent you from having successful cataract surgery in the future either. Hope that helps!
yes very big big big big big big problem you would only do that to comitt suicide
Having second cataract surgery tomorrow....have thrown out back on on skelaxin...pre op nurse says its find to take it before my surgery...but want to make sure.
You should go see an Ophthalmologist if you are having issues with cataracts. He will be able to examine you, asses your need and perform the surgery as well as the post op and recovery visits.
Now when they remove the cloudy lenses in Cataract Surgery they replace them with plastic lenses focused for far vision, so you will need glasses for near vision. Many people get bifocals with no prescription for the main lens part and the near vision prescription for the bifocal part. Other people just carry prescription near vision glasses for when they need to look at things close up but normally wear no glasses at all.Years ago (before they began putting in plastic lenses) everyone needed glasses all the time after having Cataract Surgery, because there was no longer any lens in the eye to focus the light.
Some persons postpone surgery for a longer period of time, often for financial reasons; others choose to continue on estrogen therapy indefinitely without surgery.
yes you can scream while having belly surgery
Yes there are actually a few risks to consider when deciding whether or not to have surgery to correct your astigmatism. Your vision could actually get worse if not done correctly, it can become infected or you could lose your sight completely.
Circumcision is a very painful surgery. The pain is most severe in the days following surgery, but the pain can continue for several weeks. If you're having pain after circumcision, you should consult your doctor.
