Can you convert a 78 ford ltd hard to to a convertiable?

I have a 1978 Ford LTD I realize many people do not favor these cars. I love them I just bought my 3rd. The interior and exterior are in perfect condition. It has a 351 Winsor and dual exhaust. I am going to have it painted all though ,the paint now, is in good condition it is a candy chop blue and i want something darker. I am also thinking of redoing the interior as well. I would first like to know if it can be converted to a convertable and look right. If so should I have this done first? and does anyone know how muchit would cost in the Saint Louis, MO area Thanks for Any Help!!!
