Yes Crylus makes a good bush , cut it back and it will bush out to a multistem bush.
It will grow naturally. You only need to prune a shrub to contain it .
You can ,but why would you? The right time to prune a Forsythia is immediately after flowering.
If you prune a Forsythia in Winter you will cut off the following Springs flowers. Prune a Forsythia after it ha s flowered.

A backsaw can not cut metal as the 'set', 'pitch' and size of the teeth are for fine woodcutting.
Well my friend, you have all you have to do is cut off the ones on the top, or the ones sticking out but don't cut off the green bits, that means that they are about to flower so don't cut them, but if you just sort of trim the bush, it makes i look tidier, cleaner and much nicer, you can use pliers or you can just use your hands and pull them off, but i must warn you it hurts your back so grab a stool, and take your time don't rush or you could go wrong but as you cut them, you will get a lovely smell, obviously it's lavender, but have fun lavender bush trimming :)
I have had good success with cuttings from a burning bush at my house. Good time to do this is June - September. Take 4-6 in long cutting and trim all leaves but the top ones. Cut on a 45 degree angle at bottom and dip in growth hormone. Plant the cutting in shade and wait should have solid roots in 6 weeks
