Can you delete a friend and still keep them in your mafia on Mafia Wars?

I have 505 mafia members, and I have deleted at least 30 mafia friends with no change to my mafia count.

You can't. But you can delete him/her from your friendlist and they will still be in your mafia.

You can try deleting them as a Facebook friend but that probably still won't delete them from your mafia.Zygna added a button, on your mafia home page, along the line of commands, such as; attack, add to hit list, send gift, etc ... there is one that says, remove from mafia. It works.
