Can you delete a xbox live account?

Well, you can delete your Xbox Live profile off your Xbox, but it is not possible to delete the Gamertag that you registered with Xbox Live.

In the Account Management area, you can remove your credit card if you are using one, but you cannot take away the Gold Membership associated with your account (if you have gold, that is)

In your xbox dashboard (by pressing xbox button on controler) go to: settings/system settings/memory

then click on hard drive and open up gamer profiles

select and delete at will.

that's a lie whoever wrote that.i tried it and it deleted my whole profile.

well, i followed the directions exactly and it worked fine for me and i have three gamertags on mine and only deleted one.

You now will have to contact Xbox Support to delete any accounts.

I would like to let you know that this answer is based on my memory of deleting profiles.

To remove an Xbox LIVE Profile from your account:

1. Press the Guide button (the Xbox logo button)
2. Swipe over to the Settings tab using your right analog button.
3. Go to System Settings.
4. Click on Memory.
5. Go to Gamer Profiles.
6. Delete said profile(s).

To delete a xbox live account on xbox one you need to go into settings, then go to account. From there you will find delete accounts. (you do not need to be signed in to do this) hope this helped
