The Colorado River within the Grand Canyon is quite easy to drown in. It is fast moving and bone-chilling cold. If you attempt to swim in it, you will almost certainly die. Sadly, several people each year fail to heed this VERY simple fact and die a completely needless death.
Depending on how you land... Substantial trauma to your internal organs from the impact, impalement on rocks, breaks and fractures of most of your bones causing shock-bloodloss-death, major hemorrhaging, concussion and brain trauma... Should I keep going? ;)
