I am a Certified Brazilian Blowout Specialist and I emailed the company to ask this exact question, on behalf of a client. Their answer: "...We have not done any testing on pregnant or nursing women therefore for liability reasons we do not recommend it." It has been widely reported in the celebrity news media that Nicole Ritchie had the Brazilian Blowout done by Liz Devin of Andy LeCompte salon, so I called them to ask and they confirmed it. When I said I'd hear it wasn't safe for pregnant women, the receptionist told me, "Oh..I don't know, I mean Nicole just had it done a few days ago, so I guess it is." Alrighty then. Which advice would you take? I don't perform the service on pregnant women, because I am a fan of health, safety, manufacturers' instructions, and not getting my pants sued off. But that's just me.
