It's not a good idea. It would be very hard to get a sterile environment in a home, and not end up with a patient dead from severe infection.
After hip replacement surgery the patient can stay 3 to 4 days in the hospital, after that they will be release to go home if they have someone who can assist them. If they do not have assistance at home they will be sent to a rehabilitaion center.

depends on what kind of surgery you have out patient surgery means you can go home but if not then you have to stay until they tell you can go home

Lasik eye surgery is considered an outpatient surgery because the patient is allowed to go home on the exact same day. You will still have to treat your eyes with drops and avoid to much light but you will get to go home.
You can go to any plastic surgeon for ear surgery. If you reach out to a surgeon who happens to not perform that type of surgery most will refer you to someone locally who does perform this surgery.
