sorry dude but the only way to downgrade a psp 5.5 is to use a Pandora battery, they cost about 8 dollars at dealextreme.com
or you can plug your PRO DUO stick into the computer and download the version you want. Before you download the the version you have to save it to folders PSP>GAME>UPDATE. Every folder must be in caps. then you put the memory stick into the psp and start the psp. make Sure your battery is fully charged and you must plug the psp into the wall before you take the next step. If you do not follow the instructions located in the the previous sentence or cancel the version from downloading while its downloading it could damage your files. now you go to the games menu and go to memory stick then you will see PSP update ver.... Then you click on it and it will start
