∙ 12y agoInsert a game chip into your dsi, but that wont download. Also, you can do multiplayer using DS Download Play, but you will not keep the game on your system for you to play single player. Using download play will not give you the full. An example of this would be if you did DS Download Play with Mario Kart, then you would only get 8 tracks out of the 32 available to single player mode. Basically, you can't download any single player games not available with the game cartridges without DSi Shop and the internet Connection to use that. Sorry, and I hope this answers your question.

∙ 10y agoSome games, such as DSiWare games, from the Nintendo Eshop will automatically save to the 3DS system instead of the SD card. However, most 3DS games are saved onto the SD card and is required.
Note: DSiWare games will not work if stored on the SD card
