That depends on what you mean by okay. Wellbutrin amplifies the effects of alcohol, particularly if you've just started taking it. If you want to have a drink and need to drive somewhere afterwards, it's probably a bad idea. If you're looking to get drunk, then it's actually helpful.

Besides the potentiality of amplifying the effects of alcohol, it can also counter act the effect of the drug as an anti depressant and what is even more dangerous, you can pass out completely forgetting the events following an important intake of alcohol. DO NOT OVER DRINK WHEN UNDER WELLBUTRIN.

it is advisable not to drink alcohol while taking this medicine as it can have detremental effects and actually make your depression worse.....It can mess with the perceptors in the brain. Carolyn
