Absolutely not, it would come out blotchy especially if it were highlights, it would be very noticeable. Hair dye can react with the chemicals in the hairspray and create a totally different colour which I'm pretty sure you wouldn't like.
Any kind of gel, wax, hairspray or mousse should not be used when dyeing hair and should be washed out the day before. I had a friend who died her hair with hairspray in it, parts came out ginger, other blonde and others red. She wasn't very happy at all.
Hope that helped :)

Gel.
Gel
Well first you'd have to remove the gel. If you don't you can't be sure that the dye would penetrate your hair down to the shaft where it is needed. It's wash out the gel and then dye your wet hair. No problem!
gel and hairspray.
That depends on your hair type, and hairstyle. For example : If your hair is short and you are going for a spikey look, try gel. However, if your hair is long and you want movibility and hold, try hairspray.
hairspray was invented by the egyptians in 2000BC belive it or not the first hairspray was not an areosol.
Is hair spray stronger than Hairgel
i would sayy hairspray, but that will always depend on the brand and level of hold gel is also good, but your hair becomes quite greasy hairsprayy :]
ALOT of hairspray,gel, and teasing
For thick hair, avoid gel. Try a curling moose and hairspray, such as the tressemme curls collection. Moose is more evenly applied to thick hair, so when it dries the texture will look better. While it is still wet, apply the hairspray all over, this will hold your style in place.
