yes The seeds are compacted around the core in a layer resembling honeycomb. The layers of seeds are separated by parathion white membranes which are bitter to the tongue. The inner membranes and rind are not generally eaten due to high tonic acid content, but they are useful as a skin wash. Although, you can eat the seeds, and there should not be any harm. The choice is yours.

There isn't any meat to a pomegranate. There are inedible membranes and edible seeds. The seeds are encapsulated in juice. Pomegranate juice does stain, although it is not a permanent stain.

Yes. The Aril (the red pulp coating the seed) is actually the desired part of the fruit.

The main fruit pulp (which is usually white) is usually inedible.
