Is it safe for dogs to eat hazelnut?
Nuts are unhealthy for dogs because they are rich in fat. It is not recommended that you feed nuts of any type to dogs because nuts (high fibre foods) cannot be digested by dogs, nor humans for that matter. They may become lodged in the intestines of dogs, causing digestive complications and blockages.

Can dogs eat pistachio nuts?
A dog should avoid Pistachio nuts. They known to cause pancreatitis in dogs. They also cause stomach upset and diarrhoea. They are high in natural fats too, making them unhealthy to small animals like dogs. Some nuts contain chemicals which are toxic to dogs. In the wild, nuts are very rarely part of a dog's diet. The only case a dog would really eat nuts is by eating the stomach of their prey, which may have consumed nuts beforehand. Otherwise, they are not a natural food source for dogs. Dogs are carnivores.
