A slice of orange cut across the sections is called a slice or a round or orange. A slice cut along the membranes in the orange is called a wedge. If only the flesh of the orange remains and the skin and the membranes have been removed, the wedges are called supremes. (Well, at least this is what I found as the answer to this question on here< I just copy pasted>)

This is optional, some people like it sliced and some do not.Enjoy eating the orange.Tips:If you are going to slice the orange, slice it in a long triangle shape. Just slice inward at an angle.Always have a napkin ready just in-case.
An orange is a citrus fruit with a delicious tart-sweet juice. If you cut it in half, it has concentric segments; some oranges have seeds, like the blood orange. The rind is bitter, but it retains a lot of the orange zest which is used to flavour foods and in baking. There are many ways to consume an orange. You can squeeze it for the juice, peel it and eat it whole, slice it, or cut it in half and munch the fleshy part. Oranges are a great source of Vitamin C.
Take a slice of white, or wheat bread. Spread some mayonnaise on each slice. Do not use miracle whip, or no mayo. Slice avocado onto one slice of bread. If needed salt and pepper to taste. Place the other slice of bread, mayo side down on top of the other slice with the sliced avocado Press down on it a little. Slice in two. Enjoy with a glass of milk.
Since you known that oxidation is responsible apple turning brown, you probably figured out that stopping oxidation would also stop the browning of apples. One way to prevent oxidation is to stop oxygen from reaching the PPO molecules in the cells. You block the oxygen by adding ascorbic acid (also known as vitamin C) to the apples to prevent the chemical reaction from taking place. Orange juice contains a lot of ascorbic acid. Placing an apple slice in contact with a orange slice or coating an apple slice in orange juice introduces ascorbic acid into the apple cells. Also, the orange juice and slice act as barriers to air, preventing oxygen from reaching the PPo molecules.
