You get a social security number as soon as you become a citizen, but you must file to get a card. There is no waiting time, you can get it as soon as you become a citizen.
Getting social security isn't automatic and you have to file for them with the social security administration. So, just don't file.
Yes. Why don't you file for custody? see link
No. My wife of 15 years still has her birth name on her Social Security card and all of her IDs; we have been filing jointly since we were married.
Sure you can just be sure and enter your name correctly as it listed on your social security card and your social security number correctly from your social security card. And it does not make any difference who is listed first as the primary taxpayer on the 1040 federal income tax return.

You have to file for disability at the Social Security Disability website.
Per the IRS website it states: You are required to get each employee's name and Social Security Number (SSN) and to enter them on Form W-2. (This requirement also applies to resident and nonresident alien employees.) You should ask your employee to show you his or her social security card. The employee may show the card if it is available. You may, but are not required to, photocopy the social security card if the employee provides it. Record each new employee's name and social security number from his or her social security card
