Well, I tried it and it doesn't hold it's shape....it looks more like a balloon. Seriously, could not believe it. It wasn't even completely inflated and it was three times the thickness it normally would be. Tooooooo funny!
Yes use a hose pipe and just find anyway to not get water anywhere .

Because the air contained inside the matress is lighter than the water, it floats. same reason why Helium, which is lighter than the rest of the air around it, floats as well when it is in a balloon.
