One can find the Canadian lynx in Minnesota. In fact the Canadian lynx is one of Minnesota's well known mammals. Lynxes are also found in Maine as well as other parts of the United States.

In the past, lynx were found in the Turtle Mountains and the Pembina Gorge area of North Dakota. Presently, there are no resident lynx in North Dakota, however, they may wander in from Canada at times.
