Yes. You find them in the Preservation Chamber of Bowser's, or Fawful's castle. The door leading to that room is locked: you have to solve a puzzle to complete it.
*Note that only Mario and Luigi can enter this unusual door. There are 3 machine with three symbols on the top of them. The button you need to hit them with are shaped like circles. I'll tell you how to open it:
First, hit the square button machine with your hammer two times.
Next, hit the circle button machine with your hammer one time.
Finally, hit the triangle button machine with your hammer three times.
Once you have done this, go to the door and hit the circle button with your hammer, and if you've done it correctly, then the door will open.
You will then be inside a strange room. What, the red switch? Don't hit it yet. It'll be wise to fully restore your HP and SP. Once you've done with the restoring, then you hit the red switch. There will be a shaking noise, and then the ice will melt. What you then see is the shroobs.
Shroobs are a type of mushroom that once took over the Mushroom Kingdom when Mario and Luigi were babies. There is a whole story about the shroobs, in the next game, called "Mario and Luigi: Partners in Time". The game is highly reccomended.
Once you hit the red button, your in for a fight with the shroobs. You cannot flee
the battle.
