Ithaca created a budget line of double shotguns in 1929 that they marketed under the Western Arms Co name. Most were retailed by Montgomery Wards. Production ended at the beginning of World War II. A 12ga Western Arms (Ithaca) double in excellent shape can bring $400-$450. sales@countrygunsmith.net

Western Arms Company: Trade name used by the Ithaca Gun Company on an inexpensive line of shotguns made in the 1930's and 40's. Not to be confused with Western Field, made for Montgomery Ward by Stevens. Worth repairing if in otherwise good condition, and the guns appear nearly identical to the Lefever Nitro Special, also made by Ithaca.
try bacon arms co they made hand guns for Montgomery Ward under wards western field trade mark Bacon arms made two 22 caliber guns that I could find. Both revolvers...one six shot and one seven shot revolver. Bacon arms does have a few different pistols with octagonal barrels, but only two 22 cal (at least that I came across)
It is a store brand. 50-150 dollars.
This name has been used by several companies, but most of the shotguns encountered with this name will have been made by Ithaca around 1930 - 1950. If your father only THINKS it is a century old, I would bet it is one of these. However if he KNOWS it is that old, I have found one listing that says the name was used by Bacon Arms but it does not say whether or not it was used on shotguns. All other references to Western Arms that I find are for handguns.
If you mean coat of arms, you will have to get invovled with geneology. Not every name has a coat of arms.
