Western field 12 gauge single shot shotgun serial #82719 x G...age and value/
cooey 410 gauge model 840 Winchester Canada. single shot
I have the same model as you. I inherited from my great grandpa, and to the point of my understanding it was distrubuted around the 1930's.
Yes, it's a bolt-action 410 gauge shotgun.
A" designates single shot.
Your Western Field shotgun has a value of between 35-90 dollars.
I am only guessing that the recently inherited 12 gauge, single shot shot gun with a serial number of 34416 XF was made in the mid 1920's. Cannot find a model number but name Western Field is in a rather larger d decorative font. Any help in finding a model number and year built would be appreciated.
Western standard gauge line was created in 1995.
Those single-shots in really good shape usually retail between $50-$100. sales@countrygunsmith.net
$25 to $75. Could break $100 if it is in absolutely like-new condition.
