If you mean 2 3/4" shell, then yes, as long as it's the correct guage. 2 1/2" shells are rare, but they should be fine in a 3" chamber as well.

Can a marlin 200 410 shoot magnums?

The 12 g Marlin 200 single shot shotgun SHOULD be marked on the barrel, something like "model 200 12 g 3" Modified" That means it will fire the 3 inch magnum shotshell, and has a modified choke. If you have a shotgun marked 2 3/4, do NOT fire a 3 inch magnum, even if it will chamber. The forcing cone will not have enough length for the shell to open, and it will cause unsafe high pressures. Every 200 I have seen (a limited number) WAS chambered for 3 inch Magnum shells.

Can you use 2 and three quarter inch magnum turkey loads in your Winchester Model 12 1912 vintage?

Would you really want to even if you could chamber it? I believe that the standard shell length is 2 3/4 inch and the magnums are 3 inch but I do not think that I would recommend it.

If a shotgun has a 3 inch chamber can other size shells be used?

Can you put 16 gauge shotgun shells in a 12-16 gauge pump shotgun?

it is not safe to fire 16 gauge shell in anything but a 16 gauge. No shells will interchange with other gauge guns since a 16 gauge shell would fit in a 12 gauge chamber, I would think you can do this.

How wide are shot gun shells?

Depends on the gauge of the shell. The smaller the number, the bigger the shell. A 12 g shell is ABOUT 3/4 of an inch in diameter.

Can you use 2and three quarter inch shell in 3 inch chamber?

The answer is ABSOLUTELY NOT ADVISED. The shotgun "chamber" is the length of a breech section of larger diameter that accomodates the wall thickness of the shell (to provide a smooth transition from the interior of the expanded shell to the barrel of the gun). Although the unfired longer shell can be loaded in the shorter chamber, the crimp cannot fully open when fired... it will be pinched in the narrower barrel diameter in front of the chamber. That causes increased gas pressures during firing and could possibly damage the gun. (Newer guns should handle this slight overpressure safely but you may feel a slight increase in recoil.) You can, however, go the other way around and safely use shells shorter than the guns chamber (eg a 12 gauge can safely use 2 3/4 inch shells in 3 inch chambers). There is some debate about the effect of this mismatch on shot pattern. Some credible long standing studies actually indicating a more uniform shot pattern from using shorter shells in longer chambers.
