How do you fix your kindle screen?

If by broken means the screen is cracked due to dropping it, dropping something on it or- as I did- sitting on it then I would in the first instance call Amazon and own up, chances are they'll sort you out somehow even if it isn't in warranty- maybe a replacement, discount on a new one or a good deal on a refurbished one.

If its a Kindle Keyboard, then just slide the power button to the right and hold it there for about 50 seconds. It should come back on after that. But if its just the first Kindle, or Touch, or Fire, then i am not sure. Hope I helped :)

The first two obvious answers would be to charge the battery, then try to turn on. If it still doesn't work, then to replace the battery in the kindle. If this doesn't work either, then it will need to be checked for any faults such as loose connections.

Amazon will repair your kindle screen if it is warranty depending that the screen isn't cracked.

Other repair companies will replace the screen from 50 - 80 UKP.

The screen is not user replaceable.

try restarting it...hold down the power buttin for 20- 60 seconds and then release and press only ONCEagain. then place it down and see if anytingthing happens if nothing happens then plug it into a charger for an hour and see what happens. if nothing happens then try to restart again. if still nothing happens you can go to www. kindle.com/support to find your own problem and to diagnose your issue.

Take the batteries out then put em back in and if it works good for you...if not sucks for you
