Yes you can, Don't turn it on again until it is dried out completely. Turning it on too soon will fry the circuits in the device. To dry it out completely you should try Silica Gel Packets. There was a good article on associatedcontent com that explains how to dry an iPod, MP3 player, cell phones, or any electronics. You need to place your iPod in a zip lock bag with Silica Gel Packets. Silica Gel will remove all the moisture from the iPod and its components, something air drying will not do!
When you don't have time or money to order the above gel pac's. Take your cell phone apart. Remove the battery and chip. put everything into a ziplock bag and add two cups of uncooked dry white rice. Seal and leave it in a sunny spot for a few hours.
