Very carefully.

Chickens make many sounds. It is all communication. They cluck softly when content,chatter excitedly when disturbed. They squalk after laying an egg and they can even hum/rumble (almost a purring sound) when sleepy. Chicken "impressions" normally center on the "cluck cluck" sound (onomatopoeia), but the sound is actually closer to "buck buck".

Chickens don't really fly all that well. They tend to do something more like flapping leaps. It's far from graceful. Try doing a short dash, a long jump, flap your arms wildly, and make a couple of baaawkaaaw sounds as you are doing it. This should get you pretty close.
