The 350 V8 if I recall is rated at about 190.
The biggest production Camaro Z28 engine was the 5.7 Liter, (350 Cu In V8). The most powerful was: 175 H.P & 270 Lb/Ft of torque.
the 79 i have came with 3:73's.to the best of my knowledge there were no 5 speeds, only 4 speeds.
130

without going completely out of your way to replace the entire rear end no they will not
a 350 4 speed can get to about 135 to 145 a 3 speed automatic can hit 135. Ok?That previous answer is very wrong. Well the 79 Z28 350 made only 175hp. In a four speed manuel it will do just over 120mph pushing it hard. With an auto will go no more than 115mph. This engine was a low reving and detuned and the trans was geared tight to make the best of its low power, not good for a top speed run. This was not a good year for the stock Camaro.
the fuse box on a 79 camaro is under the dash on the driver's side...its kinda shoved up there.
