yes, its called r134a and it is available almost anywhere including Walmart most likely. if your car is really old and has r12 in it you'll need to have it converted or you could do it yourself.

They carry R-134a refrigerant. It's only Freon if it's manufactured by DuPont, who hold the trademark to the name Freon for their line of CFC and HFC refrigerants (and, incidentally, no DuPont products were listed when I checked Auto Zone's website, although they did have plenty of other brands of R-134a).

Automotive Freon is R-12 (or the new R-132 and R-134). Central air freon is R-22. They are not compatible because of their different boiling points. R-22 is being phased out through the year 2010, but there is no standard replacement.
