Yes, it's for the DS lite and DSi.
It says in the Cooking Mama 3: Shop and Chop manual. You need TWO DS systems and a copy of Cooking Mama 3 and a copy of Gardening Mama. Gardening Mama player needs to turn on DS and go to Cute Treasure Chest. There should be something in there from the Special Garden, and tap "Communicate." Tap "Host Session" and wait. For the Cooking Mama 3 player, turn on DS and tap on "Options." then tap on "Gardening Mama." Tap "Join Session" and make the two DS systems communicate by putting them close together. NOTE: You could only send food (not flowers) to Cooking Mama 3. Be sure to unlock the Special Garden. I tried this with my cousin's copy of Cooking Mama 3, and she's happy with the food I sent!
Cooking Mama, Cooking Mama 2, Cooking Mama 3, Animal Crossing: Wild World There are more, but I don't know much because I am a boy.
