Dont know to which herpes your referring to. You stated kissed a year ago. Then I assume you mean on and around the outside of the mouth. No it would have happened much sooner. There is a sexually transmitted herpes but you definitely would have had symptoms sooner from that, too. I believe there are at least 3 different kinds. It would be best if the person in question goes to the doctor as soon as possible to be treated and not to swap spit or any other bodily fluid until the outbreak is gone. Sexually transmitted herpes CAN NOT be cured so it pays to be very careful when choosing to have sexual contact in any way. Go to a medical website or your local library to get info on this and see a doctor soon.
