There is no such thing as "Linux XP". If you're referring to Windows XP, then the answer is no.
As far as Linux distributions, for the majority of distributions, they are free (as in freedom) and free-of-charge.

Before you format xp you will need to go onto Linux and create a grub boot disk by typing grub-install /dev/fd0. This will create a floppy disk which you can use to start Linux after you have removed and reinstalled xp. After removing and reinstalling xp use the disk to get back onto Linux and use grub-install /dev/hda to restore the Linux boot screen.

Simple answer: NO. Compiz is only available on LINUX. The closest thing that you will get to it in XP is "Yodm 3d". Yodm 3d is a small free program that gives ur desktop the 3d cube effect. But I believe Yodm 3d changed its name to Deskspace now and is no longer free, but you might still be able to find the older free version. Just do a search on the net. But as far as compiz goes, I doubt they will ever make a version of it for XP - since it is one of the better marketting points for LINUX.
