No way in hell. Not unless you have a co-signer with good credit. If you really really want a car you could get one at a bad credit car place, like JD Byrider. They will give credit to anyone. But you need 300-500 for a downpayment. I just requested a car loan for a less than $28K and was granted my request. My credit union is letting me borrow $ from them for 5.25%. I don't know the max they'll give me, but I initially asked for $10K, then just changed it to $12K after looking at vehicles--they said yes to that increase. I didn't know that my score was only 562 until *after* I made my request.
It is really hard to say for sure whether you would or would not. And, it's actually against federal law for a loan officer to answer this question without a "we will need to just apply and find out." However, even though you have a few dings on your credit and not the best credit score, I'm sure there is some companies out there willing to help you. The question you have to ask yourself is how much are you willing to pay? You might end up with a 15+% car loan - which is not something you want. Anything over 10%, in my opinion, is too much to pay for a loan lasting more than a year.
