Well for the first piercing you need to know that piercing guns are not to be used to pierce nostrils. OK got that out of the way now for the where, any body piercing studio will be happy to do your piercing for you so research the places, go in have a chat and find the place you feel most comfortable at.
Now for the what, nostril screws are the best for the first time piercing. They allow room for cleaning which is very important second they are comfortable, third they are less apt to be pulled or snagged causing them to come out. Avoid discussions about nose bones, these are a straight shaft jewellery piece that can easily be pulled out of the piercing (usually when you don't want them pulled out).
Stick to the nostril screw, the first couple of weeks you will notice the screw becoming looser in the piercing, this is a good thing this indicates that the piercing is healing correctly. You will also have a whitish yellow discharge on the piercing, this is normal and will ease off as the piercing heals.
Two or three weeks in you can go back to the studio and have the nostril screw tightened, they take the screw out bend it slightly and put it back in this takes away some of the slop and motion from the jewellery and makes it much more comfortable. So hit the yellow pages and check out "Body Piercing" and "Tattoos" (some tattoo studios also do body piercing) Happy Piercings!!
Yes. Just be sure to ask. Make sure its either glass or bioplast because those can be autoclaved/sterilized.
yes you can
A clear piercing retainer
Get something called a retainer : Its a clear nose ring . : )
If you ask your piercer, they should be able to put a clear glass retainer in instead of a ring or metal stud.
I would get it on the opposite side of your nose piercing. Just because I like symmetry. It really just depends on your preference
You can't use a sewing needle to pierce your nose because it might not be the same size as the nose stud and the sewing needle may not be clean enough to use if i were you i would go to a local tattoo shop and get it done because i did it myself and it wasn't pretty.
You untwist it.
A stud definitely x
You don't put a back on a regular stud in your nose! What you do is get a proper nostril screw stud for a nostril piercing and put that in instead of the ear stud you have in your nose. If the backing comes off the regular stud in your nose and it is inhailed it can go into your lungs and then you have some serious medical issues.
i think middle piercings are always a cool choice, that way the face doesn't look to heavy on one side or to uneven, if you pierce the right side you risk looking unsymmetrical, which takes away from natural appeal, if you get the left side you risk looking messy, but middle bottom lip piercings usually look good no mater what, and a double stud pierce might work as well, though if you have a stud on your nose then i suggest a ring on the lip, here are two pictures that you could consider, one being a double stud, the other a middle pierce.
To out in a nose piercing, you have toClean your noseClean the stud/ringGet the stud/ring wetGet your nose wetand thenjust jam it throughBut don't get a nose stud with a ball at the end, it hurts getting in and outso if i were you, i would get what they call the cork screw.
What??
no only if your nose is really sensitive
