Typically, you cannot get a fungal infection from touching fungi. Most fungi do not cause disease in humans. However, if you come in contact with fungi that can cause human disease--like athlete's foot, ring worm, or yeast infections--then you are likely to become infected yourself.

Any part of the body is suceptible to infection by a fungus if your body is unable to fight agaist it
