ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! Guinea pigs get spooked very easily, and this would not be a good idea. BIG DOG: especially no!! if the dog is as big as a lab, don't try it. Your guinea pig will think you set him up and will start to dislike you. guinea pigs are very bright. SMALL DOGS: well, that's a little better. but still, guinea pigs are scared of anything bigger than them. a small dog is about the size of a cat, and believe me, you do not want to go there!
I would recommend buying them both at the same shop and both of them at the age of 0. If you have a dog for 7 years and then buy a guinea pig then they won't get along. I learned that the hard way. I held my guinea pig up so my dog could sniff it and he scared it to death! He killed it. He didn't bite him but he scared him so much that the guinea pig's heart exploded. It was soo sad I was crying for 2 hours.
welll my dog got on with one of my guinea pigs, she treated it like her puppy. it was adorable. the other guinea pigs were slightly afraid of my dog. but it can depend on the dog i only have a small one that isn't very aggressive.
uh.........isnt that sort of random?anyway, they can its just that you have to keep your guinea pig elevated. i don't think they like each other that much so........my answer is gonna be no, they don't like living with each other.
Yes. You can still get one, even if your dog stalks little animals like my dog does. If you think your dog can open the cage door and eat the guinea pig, keep the cage in your room and keep it closed
it depends on the type of dog. i.e. if you have a doberman yes, it WOULD kill it. But, if you had a smaller dog...like.... a Yorkie..... the chances of it being killed would be low. But if the dog was angry or something.... the dog might get violent. so, it just depends.
If you ever put a guinea pig with a dog, make sure the dog is ok with it, or else you could lose your guinea pig.
no your stupiad animals can't be alergic to animals it's only humans what can be allergic
Well, if they don't like them then ofcoure i'll agree they might do something but if they like each other then no.
Yes
it is called A Guinea pig I think but I do have a Guinea pig
no not really. a dog is funner, and guinea pigs dont do much
yes a guinea pig has been into space along with a monkey and a dog.
Because dogs find guinea pigs a tasty little bite between meals. It might be possible to befriend dogs and Guinea pigs such that the dog won't harm the Guinea pig, and the Guinea pig isn't scared of the dog, but this would be the exception. The norm is that a dog will view a Guinea pig as a source of food, an expression of love not always fully appreciated by the Guinea pig.
I am not sure but i do no that a cat can attack a guinea pig and so can dogs so it is better not to buy a guinea pig if u have a cat or dog.
If the guinea pig is not bleeding its okey but if it is then see your vet asap.
leave the guinea pig in it's cage if you have the gunea pig out hold it i don't think your dog will eat your guinea pig
It depends on the dog and how it acts with others
rodents
a baby guinea pig is known as a Pup. (though never a puppy)
You may want to add extra bedding or a shelter for your guinea pig as they may just want to burrow. I got my last guinea pig cage here http://www.petproductsbyroyal.com/rabbit-guinea-pig/ and love it!
Ok, a crested guinea pig and, I'm guessing you are referring to an abyssian guinea pig (not a cat) CAN breed. They are NOT two different species of animals. They are different BREEDS. Both are guinea pigs, so they can breed. Think of a lab (dog) and a dachshund (dog)........they, too, are different BREEDS, but the same SPECIES (dog)......so, they can also breed.
