sure can!
NO
Yes. You only need a birth certificate and or ID.
Start with your birth certificate. Apply for a passport card - or a passport. Take that in to the drivers license bureau - some states provide an ID there. In most places, though, the passport trumps all.
Following requirements are valid.Proof of citizenship, by means of a certified U.S. birth certificate, undamaged U.S. passport, Naturalization Certificate, Certificate of Citizenship, or a Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth.Proof of identity, by means of a valid driver's license, undamaged U.S. passport, Naturalization Certificate, current government ID, current military ID, or undamaged U.S. passport. (If you don't have any of these documents, you may proceed through a secondary means.)Two color passport photographs of yourself taken within the past six months that meet all the requirements.
Don't sign the passport and notify the state department.
I was born at home . The Doctor arrived afterwards. He later died and filed no record . How do I obtain a passport without a birth certificate ?
A passport cannot be obtained without the signature of the other parent.
As of Jun.01.2009, there are no countries you can go without a passport as a Canadian citizen. Canadian Citizens can go to the Dominican Republic without a passport as long as they have their birth certificate or proof of Canadian citizenship along with a valid photo I.D. and also as long as they are not to transit the U.S.
No. A passport is required to travel internationally. However, there are some exceptions. For example, if you're an American citizen on a cruise that goes to Mexico, a passport is not required but a birth certificate and ID is. However, if you're an American citizen on a flight to Russia, then yes, a passport is required.
No, for international travels, you really need your passport. However, if you plan to land or sea travel to Mexico or Canada and you have your License and your Green Card and Birth Certificate, then you can but you still need the passport when you get back to the US for easier travel.
If you have an ID and birth certificate, you shouldn't have any problem re-entering the US.
I believe that all you need to go to Mexico is your driver's license (that's all we've used to drive there)...if you are a US born American citizen. However, if you are not a US born American citizen...you'll require further documentation. I do not suggest taking your original birth certificate with you when you travel. A passport is a better option and easier to replace if lost or stolen. Starting 2006 you will need to have a valid passport to travel between Mexico and the USA As of now, you need a passport, and a drivers license to go thru the airport customs. According to the U.S. governments travel website and the department of homeland security, a passport is required to re-enter the USA by air. Land travel requires proof of identity and citizenship until June 1,2009 at which time a passport will be necessary. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Technically the above is correct BUT you willl have extreme difficulty boarding ANY International flight without having a passport as ID at check-in. After June 2009 the airlines have become really hard nosed about this. An " enhanced " drivers liscense is NOT a passport and will not be accepted at the airport .... those things are only for "driving " to Mexico or Canada BUT be warned, althought Mexico will maybe allow you in without a passort ( how much are you willing to pay as a bribe ? ) the U.S. Immigration will NOT allow you back into the U.S. without a passport Money buys anything in Mexico
