If you have the resources to keep two rabbits separately, there's nothing wrong with getting a second rabbit.

If you expect the second rabbit to live with your first rabbit, you'll have to bond them. Bonding can happen instantaneously or it can take a long time (just like with humans, individual personality is a factor in all rabbit relationships). There are good ways and bad ways to try to bond your rabbits, so it's a good idea to do research first.

You should neuter/spay your rabbits before you attempt to bond them. Two unneutered males will fight, sometimes to the death. An unneutered male and unspayd female will mate -- please consider all the rabbits in shelters before you allow your rabbits to mate! Two unspayed females may bond, but your chances of bonding are greatly increased by spaying them.
