No that has to be fixed first it's an auto fail and you can't just reset it. you have to have 100 miles on it without it coming back on then take it in for it to pass.
Yes, the Service Engine Soon light is the same as the Check Engine light.
I'd wait for at least a 150 miles ... if you have it checked too soon, there won't be enough stored data for the system to relay to the smog check machine.
take it to autozone they will check for free. wolverine Probably some problem with the smog controls. Probably nothing too major. If the service engine light is flashing, it's probably major.
Yes.
First diagnos the problem(whats wrong). Did the "check engine"light come on? Failed smog inspection? "service engine soon"light driveability problems? engine pinging bad gas mileage no power/performance? Need more info. First diagnos the problem(whats wrong). Did the "check engine"light come on? service engion soon light is on
There is a CEL, Check Engine Light, on the 1989 Thunderbird.
The service engine soon is the same as a check engine light. It has nothing to do with an oil change.
It's normally a reminder that a service is due on your vehicle.
The service engine soon, or check engine, light is reset with a scan tool after repairing the cause of the trouble codes.
