You can only get a wavier if you are allergic to the shot. You have to prove you are allergic. Also you can have titers drawn to see if you have already been exposed and have immunity. Know that in the military as active duty it is not optional, it is a requirement to be fully immunized. With the high level of deployments and going into countries that do have cases of polio, measles, mumps and rubella active, you should want to get all the immunizations you can get.
