Once you get a job your bosses or assessors can look you up on Facebook ( if you aren't private) and look at your profile and who you are friend with etc. They even sometimes look at your photos and can use that against you if you missed work that day ( the photo might have been taken on that specific day).

Some contracts, particularly people dealing with youth, have 'moral turpitude' clauses, saying if you set a bad example you can be terminated. And if you company has a policy about computer use that doesn't allow any personal usage, you can be violating it by visiting Facebook at work.
