Generally US colleges do not require immunization information during the application process. So you can be accepted to a university without being immunized. However, once admitted, they will typically require proof that you have received certain immunizations (espeically the meningitis vaccine) before you can attend. Most schools only make exceptions for students who have legitimate documented religious or health reason why they cannot have the required vaccines.
Outbreaks on college campuses have occurred among immunized or incorrectly immunized students.
Because so many people have been immunized in the past, no one caught it as much. People thought overtime it wasn't around. (because of so many being immunized, it didn't spread.) Thinking, well no one is catching it so whats the point of getting the injection. Now because of the lack of people getting the injection, (people not getting themselves or their children immunized). And because no one is getting immunized, it can spread more faster and alot of people are not immune to it - Making it reappear.
Yes there could be a chance of getting infected if you are not immunized and have the necessary equipments to protect you.
You can win without getting the majority of the popular vote.
Imminizations can prevent disease, and also the spread of disease. People who get immunized from a certain disease cannot catch that disease, which minimizes the chance of others getting the disease (such as those who's immune systems or allergies will not allow them to get immunized.)
