If everyone could get into universities with just a SAT score, then nobody would be stressed about the whole college process.
Almost all colleges REQUIRE either SAT or ACT score among other things like high school transcripts, recommendation letters, and etc.
But not only do you need to take the SAT but also have a decent score.
Just because you took it doesn't mean you automatically qualify to get admission.
Nearly every university will accept the SAT scores. Which SAT test you need, that is the discretion of the university. Check the admissions page to see which one you need. It will most likely be the SAT1.
I am a sophomore at GWU. I received a 1300/1600 and a 2120/2400 on my SATs but I am not sure that the university weighs the scores heavily when deciding upon an application.
It varies. Perfect SAT scores have been rejected from Columbia. Low SATs are here and I know some of them. But GPA are all high. The SATs are not everything anymore. GPA is still a big factor. A 3.6 and lower will not get you in. A 3.8-3.9 is the average. A 4.0 is very common among accepted students. Good Luck
If you're going to a college that wants SAT scores, then yes.
A high school diploma or GED. It varies, but in general you have to demonstrate academic competence - this can come in the form of AP scores, IB scores, SAT scores, ACT scores, GPA, class rank, rigor of courseload, recommendation letters, and extracurricular activities/demonstration of good character.
It is below the trheshold for level 3.
You don't. SAT scores are multiples of 10. However, when SAT's are used for statistical purposes (e.g. finding the average, etc.) then SAT scores do not have to be multiples of 10.
I've heard that over 1850 is a competitive score on the new SATs.
The admissions office can get all that with your transcripts or if they ask for them SATs should be on there somewhere. You walk them in to admissions when you register.
If you want to get into college, most of them require either the SATs or the ACTs But some community colleges and nowaways even some colleges are making scores optional like Mount Holyoke. It would be safer to take it rather than finding out later your college wants scores and don't have time to take it.
Of the 1.5 mil people who took the SATs in 2008, 294 got perfect 2400s. I don't know about individual scores.
No. They however, need to pass equivalent tests to enter college/university.
