No,the person who has once caught measles has the antibodies against measles viruses.
When a person has caught measles th T type lymphocytes detect the type of virus and then the B type lymphocytes produce antibodies for the viruses of maesles.Antibodies stick with these viruses and destroy them.
This person can not get measles again in life because the antibodies against measeles are already produced for prevntion by catching measles once. These antibodies are memory cell for this specific type of viruses.
It is possible, though uncommon. Usually it only happens if the persons immune system becomes weakened somehow after the first occurrence of the illness.
My son, now 4, has had German Measles twice.
13 July 2011 he was diagnosed by our GP
20 July 2012 he was diagnosed again
Waiting for 2013.... LOL
It is a tricky question. Who made the diagnosis of German Measles? Rash is a rash. The presentation of other viral rash can confuse even an astute clinician. That being so, clinical diagnosis of Rubella is unreliable. Only serological test can establish a diagnosis of past infection. Once a person is serologically proven to have had a past infection or immunity from vaccine, one could reasonably be certain that that person is immune and would not get the disease.
yes... because virus of chicken pox and measles are different.
Yes; a history of chicken pox doesn't protect you against German measles.
Most likely not because a woman had cow pox in an experiment and was then given the small pox disease and never got it. Wow i did learn something from my Honors Biology teacher.
no
no
because after you get it once then your body will get protected by measles after the first on of course Well nobody will get one after the first one so no one will get the measles twice! Yes You Can Get Measles More Than Twice Ive Had The 3 Times
no. you can not get the measles twice.
My grandmother had measles when she was a baby. I would never want to catch measles.
Death
If the child has measels, and you were not vaccinated, then yes you can.
It is a contagious disease- you can catch it.
i have heard it said that you can have measles twice, but both a family member and i have had the measles 5 times. i don't know if you can have it more than 5 times.
It is not likely that your daughter will get measles if she had two doses of MMR. Patients exposed to measles but who have a history of completing the MMR series do not need special care, treatment, or monitoring.
Measles is a very infectious illness caused by a virus - a viral infection caused by the rubeola virus. It is an endemic disease; meaning it is continually present in a community and many people develop resistance. If measles enters an area where the people have never been exposed the result can be devastating.
no but if you trade you will have it
20 million, but mostly in third world countries
No. There is a medication for mumps.
