Can you get your drivers permit at 15 and a half in pa?
In Pennsylvania, you must be 16 years old in order to obtain your learner's permit. Some other states do allow you to obtain a learner's permit at the age of 15 and a half.
Not legally, no. New York and Pennsylvania will only issue drivers licenses or non-drivers licenses to legal residents of their respective states. If you move out of PA, for example, you are no longer eligible for a PA drivers license. If you use a license showing that you live in PA when you actually live in NY, then that is fraud.
you can take your written test when you turn 16. if you pass you get your permit and are restricted to driving with someone 21 or older for 6 months. after your 6 months are up you can take your "behind the wheel" test. when you get that your only restriction is being off the road by 11 pm i believe. at age 18 you can drive whenever.
