Browning's web site has a sn search function.
We do not understand the question, please re-state
The sn you list dates to 1978.
Try Browning or egunparts
You need to be more specific. Many shotguns have had the word "Imperial" in their description ranging from the turn of the century to current production. List all the markings on the barrel(s), breech, etc..
Try browning.com
An awful lot would be a good answer!!Browning and Beretta are firm favourites here in England with many high class gun makers such as Purdey and Perrazi turning out guns which sell for tens of thousands of pounds. The list is too long and boring to research in detail.
The browning web page does not list serials this low and or numbers with a X. Based on that list it was made in the 30's?
Current List Box.
designate the model. Try the Browning website at Browning.com
I can not find a number that matches that on the Browning website. The closest seems to be the Fabrique Nationale manufactured guns in 1953; however, those serial numbers only go up to 438000 and there is no "1-" at the beginning that I can tell. If it is any consolation, my own Browning 20 gauge serial number does not appear in the list either (7Z 21385). It may be worth while to call 800-333-3288, the Browning customer service line. I plan on it. The serial number website for Auto 5 shotguns is:http://www.browning.com/customerservice/dategun/detail.asp?id=13
Try egunparts.
